Before & After School Care Program (including Intersessions)

If you’re looking for quality child/pre-teen (ages 5-12) care in a fun, exciting and safe environment for your child or pre-teen after the school day ends, we have just what you’re looking for!  We are glad to have you join us for all of your school-aged child care needs.  We offer before and after school care and full day child care on teacher workdays and other school closings (spring break, school intersessions, etc.)  At Associated Family and Life Services your child and/or pre-teen will enjoy an array of fun, exiting, and educational activities.

Associated Family and Life Services, LLC is a unique facility that offers extracurricular activities for young and pre-teen children on a year-round basis.  Our school age programs include before and after school care, intersession care, summer camps and more.

We are committed to fostering and nurturing the development of the whole child.  We take every aspect of your child’s development into account when carefully planning, choosing, and implementing our daily schedule and activities.

We are committed to responding to the needs of the children and families we serve.  Our program provides children/pre-teens with many stimulating and fun activities in a variety of areas.  The before school program provides transportation to school each day.  The after school program includes an afternoon snack, monitored homework time, computer access and additional activities.

We primarily provide service (transportation) to children who attend schools in near our location (Elementary Schools: Creekside, Southwest, Durham Academy, Pearsontown, W.G. Pearson, Parkwood and R.N. Harris; Middle Schools: Shepard IB, Lowes Grove, Durham Academy, W.G. Pearson, Githens and Rogers-Herr).  However, we do make exceptions and sometimes make ourselves available to other schools so please ask about any school not listed above. We ask that if your child is under 80 pounds or less than 8 years of age that you provide a booster seat for your child to use for transportation.

We are open Monday thru Friday 7am-7pm.  Any child attending before school care MUST arrive prior to 8:15am (elementary school ages).  Vans cannot wait for children arriving after 8:15am.  Child care cannot be provided after 7:00pm.  The late fee for any child not picked up by 7:00pm is $10 per 5 minutes late (or fraction thereof) the child remains after 7:00pm.  We close at 5:00pm on the FOURTH WEDNESDAY OF EVERY MONTH for staff meetings.
